The Page Where We Fix All Errors

ALWAYS Under Construction!

  • (caught by author, but too late) In the introduction to the Sioux section, it should be clarified that the Dakota dialects of Sioux are relatively eastern (not western), the Nakota speakers central, and the Lakhota sub-groups western (not eastern). The last 130 years have located the axis more on a northwest-southeast shape.
  • The index lists Rep. Durbin's Lithuanian-American Kugelis under recipes by Republican office holders. Rep. Durbin of Illinois is a Democrat.
  • The author's biography states that Mark H. Zanger wrote the Boston restaurant section in Fodor's '98. That isn't wrong, but I also wrote the sections for Fodor's Gold Guide to Boston '99 and 2000, as well as Fodor's New England 2000.

No doubt readers will email in some more serious mistakes and howlers, and add a few things as well.
